I was responsible for SEO for custom jewelry website’s blog, I’ve optimized 74 posts. My process was the following:
- I set keyphrase using post’s title.
- I set metadescription using first paragraph of the text. I made sure there was the keyphrase in first paragraph.
- I made sure that post’s URL contained the keyphrase.
- I used the keyphrase in the featured image’s alt text.

1. Content optimization
Web pages have high ranks because Google has determined they are the best answers to the searcher’s questions – keywords. I use webmaster’s tools for determining the value of a keyword (Moz Keyword Explorer, Google Keyword Planner). After that I would apply this keyword research for creating web page’s content, I use Yoast SEO plugin that helps me to optimize meta data and content in terms of using keywords.
I would avoid thin content, duplicate content, keyword stuffing. I recommend my clients to write articles that are attractive to read, and that makes your audience want to stay on your website.
2. Local SEO
If a company meets with its customers directly — either through a storefront or service area — it’s termed a “local business” and a unique set of techniques and skills can be used to increase its visibility on the Internet. Know more about local search marketing.
Local business websites focus not only on keywords about products, services, but also on specific geographic area. I us NAP data (name, address, phone number) and make sure it is consistent across all pages. After that I recommend to spread NAP via local citations, reviews.
3. Beyond content optimization
I use title and header tags correctly, make sure URLs are optimized for users and search engines, create clear navigation, use internal link structure.
I promote readability by using appropriate text size and color, breaking content with helpful headings, bullet points, paragraph breaks, learn more about writing for the web.
